Every room with Cubbie's name on it, the ones we run ourselves and the ones we run with somebody else.
Cubbie's events are yours, from a dinner for twelve to a conference floor, and so are the ones we put on together with another company.
You decide what a room is for before you decide anything else about it. Who is in it, what they leave with, and what happens the week after. A full room that produces nothing is an expense, so you will be judged on what follows the event rather than on how many people came.
The partnership half is the same job seen from the other side. Another company has an audience and a reason to want ours in the room with theirs. You find those companies, agree in writing what each side brings and what each side gets, and make the day work for both audiences without either one feeling sold to.
You own the calendar, the budget and the standard. What you will not be asked to do is fill a calendar for the sake of having one.
The tour
This role runs as a two-year tour. That is the term on both sides. Near the end of it we sit down together and decide whether to run another one.
You will know in your first week what the tour is for: what you own, what has to be true by the end of it, and how that is measured.
By day ninety
A calendar with a stated purpose beside every date, and nothing on it that does not have one.
Two co-hosted events agreed in writing with the partner, with what each side brings and what each side gets written down before anyone books anything.
One format that works, run twice, so it is something repeatable rather than one good night.
And a plain account after each event of what actually came out of the room.
