Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026

The short version. The full text below is what governs.

  • Reviews cannot be bought Reviews must come from real first-hand use, and any employment, payment, or free product behind one has to be disclosed. Vendors cannot offer anything of value for a positive review, a changed rating, or a takedown.
  • No fakes, no rank manipulation Fake or fraudulent listings, reviews, and company information are prohibited, as is any artificial attempt to move trust scores, rankings, or ratings. So is impersonating another company or a Cubbie employee.
  • Nobody gets to spam you Bulk unsolicited messaging is prohibited on and off the platform, and opt-outs must be honored permanently. Harvesting contacts from the catalog, profiles, or APIs for outside marketing is barred.
  • Limits on extracting data Automated scraping and crawling are limited to what our published APIs allow, with rate limits tied to your key. Sharing API credentials, attempting unauthorized access, and reverse-engineering the Service are prohibited.
  • Disputes before chargebacks Payment disputes go through the platform’s dispute process before you go to your bank for a chargeback. Payment information you provide must be accurate, and purchase obligations must be met.
  • How this gets enforced Cubbie can investigate, remove content, withhold payouts, suspend or terminate accounts, and refer illegal activity to law enforcement. Violations can be reported anonymously to [email protected].

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out conduct requirements for all users of the Cubbie software procurement marketplace. This policy supplements our Terms of Service and applies to buyers, vendors, and any other users of the platform.

1. Marketplace Integrity

You agree not to:

  • Submit fake, misleading, or fraudulent product listings, reviews, or company information.
  • Attempt to manipulate trust scores, rankings, or review ratings through artificial means, including incentivized reviews, review swapping, or automated review generation.
  • Impersonate another user, company, or Cubbie employee.
  • List products that you do not have the right to sell or distribute.

2. Technical Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service beyond what is permitted through our published APIs.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, internal systems, or non-public features.
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code to the Service.
  • Overload, disrupt, or interfere with the availability or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.

3. Content Standards

All content submitted to Cubbie, including product descriptions, reviews, and profile information, must be accurate, lawful, and not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights. Content must not contain hate speech, harassment, threats, or any material that is obscene or defamatory.

4. Transaction Conduct

Buyers and vendors must engage in transactions honestly and in good faith. This includes providing accurate payment information, fulfilling purchase obligations, and resolving disputes through the platform's dispute resolution process before initiating chargebacks.

5. API Usage

If you access the Cubbie API, you must comply with the rate limits attached to your API key and the authentication requirements described in our developer documentation. API keys must be kept confidential. Sharing API credentials or using them in a way that could compromise platform security is prohibited.

6. Reviews, Endorsements, and Incentives

Cubbie follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's rules on consumer reviews and endorsements, and we expect every user to do the same. In particular:

  • Reviews and testimonials must reflect a genuine, first-hand experience with the product.
  • If you have a material connection to a vendor (employment, investment, compensation, free product, or any other benefit connected to your review), you must clearly disclose it in the review.
  • Vendors must not offer money, discounts, rewards, or anything else of value in exchange for a positive review, a changed rating, or the removal or suppression of a negative review. Incentives conditioned on sentiment are prohibited in all forms.
  • Cubbie Points are earned through eligible purchase activity and are never conditioned on writing a review; writing a review is never required to earn or redeem rewards.
  • Fake, fabricated, AI-generated, or bulk-produced reviews are prohibited (see Section 1) and will be removed.

7. Outreach, Messaging, and Automated Contact

Cubbie includes tools that let users contact other businesses, for example partner lead follow-ups, vendor invitations, and partnership requests. When you use them, you must:

  • Send only legitimate, relevant business communication. Bulk unsolicited messaging and spam are prohibited, on or off the platform.
  • Identify yourself and your company truthfully. Deceptive sender information and impersonation are prohibited.
  • Honor opt-outs and do-not-contact requests promptly and permanently.
  • Not harvest contact details from the Cubbie catalog, profiles, or APIs for unsolicited marketing outside the platform.
  • Comply with applicable messaging laws (including CAN-SPAM and equivalent laws in your jurisdiction). Cubbie may enforce sending limits, throttles, and review on any outreach surface.

8. Partner Portals, Embeds, and White-Label Use

Partners may host Cubbie-powered perks portals on their own domains and embed Cubbie content on properties they control. When you do:

  • Represent your relationship with Cubbie and with vendors accurately; do not imply endorsement, exclusivity, or affiliation that does not exist.
  • Keep required attribution and program branding intact unless your program terms expressly permit otherwise.
  • Only embed Cubbie content on websites and applications you own or are authorized to operate, and do not surround it with deceptive or unlawful content.
  • Do not use portals or embeds to run misleading promotions, hidden-fee offers, or arbitrage schemes that violate these policies or your program agreement.

9. Enforcement

Cubbie reserves the right to investigate violations of this policy and take appropriate action, including: issuing warnings, suspending or terminating accounts, removing content, withholding payouts, and reporting illegal activity to law enforcement. We may also permanently ban users who engage in repeated or severe violations.

10. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of conduct that violates this policy, please report it to [email protected]. Reports may be submitted anonymously. We review all reports and take action where warranted.

11. Changes

We may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
