Why it works this way. The people who build a company's stack should share in the value they create. Rewarding the individual who actually makes the call, not an anonymous company pool, is what makes Cubbie worth coming back to, and keeps the person closest to the decision invested in getting it right.
One honest note. Because Points are earned on company-funded purchases, the rewards you redeem may be taxable income to you, and your employer sets the program terms for company spend. We keep every redemption on the record so you and your finance team always have the paperwork.

Program mechanics

The full operating detail: how Points are earned, posted, expired, reported, and audited.

Earning
1% of every eligible purchase you make: any order processed through Cubbie checkout, new purchase or renewal. Every $100 of spend earns you 10 Points, worth $1 in redemption value. Applied automatically; no codes or claims.
Posting schedule
Points post as pending the moment payment succeeds, then become available after a 7-day hold. Posting runs hourly; the hold protects your balance against refunds and disputes.
Validity
Points are valid for 365 days from the date you earned them. Expiry is enforced nightly, and expired Points are voided with a permanent audit entry, never silently removed.
Statements
A monthly Points statement lands in your inbox on the 1st: opening balance, earned, redeemed, expired, closing balance, plus a flag on any Points expiring within the next 30, 60, or 90 days.
Records & tax
Every earning and redemption stays in the ledger with value and fulfillment status. Because Points are earned on company-funded spend, redemptions may be taxable to you and are tracked for reporting where required. Statements and tax documents currently use the term “Credits”. Same ledger, same value.

A personal token gives you read access to your live balance and full ledger via GET /api/v1/credits/balance and GET /api/v1/credits/ledger.

How much do I earn per purchase?

Who earns the Points, me or my company?

You do. Points accrue to your personal Cubbie wallet, not a company pool, because you're the one who found the tool and made the call. Heads-up: rewards earned on company-funded purchases may be taxable to you. Redemptions are recorded so you have the paperwork.

Who can redeem?

You can, whenever you like, from your Buyer Dashboard. Everyday rewards are self-serve; premium travel rewards (the hotel escape, Ritz-Carlton stay, executive travel, and premium-cabin flights) are booked and coordinated by Cubbie concierge.

What happens if I change jobs?

Your Points live in your personal Cubbie wallet. How a balance carries across an employer change follows your company's program terms and the Cubbie Points terms. Check with your admin if you're planning a move.

Do Points expire?

Points are valid for 365 days from the date you earned them; expiry is enforced nightly and recorded in the ledger. Your monthly statement flags any balance expiring within the next 90 days, so it never sneaks up on you.

When do Points become available?

Points post as pending immediately after payment succeeds and become available after a 7-day hold. The hold keeps your balance clean if an order is refunded or disputed.

Is there a limit on how many Points I can earn?

No. Every eligible purchase earns Points with no cap on accumulation. Earning is unlimited; only redemptions are subject to program terms.

How does the 100,000-Point flight tier work?

Cubbie concierge coordinates two first-class or business-class round-trip flights to a regularly serviced destination anywhere in the world, subject to traveler eligibility, carrier availability, and program terms.

Where do I see my balance?

In your Buyer Dashboard under Cubbie Points: your live balance, earning history, redemption history, and statements. You can also read your balance and ledger through a personal Points API token.
