I used to prefer working in person, but after using Gather Town, I think I actually prefer remote work. It recreates the office experience so well—everyone has their own space but can easily come together in common areas like meeting rooms. Everything feels seamless; you can share your screen, others can do the same, and there’s no need to juggle multiple apps. You just walk into a virtual room and instantly interact with whoever’s there, just like in a physical space. It gives you all the benefits of being in an office without any of the downsides.

Screen sharing for code pairing or presenting a demo works great! With Gather on my screen all day at work, it somehow tricks my brain into feeling connected and present, without the distractions of a physical office. For someone who believes remote work is superior for both productivity and work-life balance, Gather is the perfect tool to make that work style shine.

Support is super responsive and solved all my issues. One of the few companies that don't reply with irritating corporate jargon. I feel heard, understood and helped when I have an issue with Gather. Not that I have any left.

Of course, the ability to customize our desks, avatars, office environment, and even unwind with the team through games and kart races within the platform also makes our daily routines more enjoyable and smooth. Another incredible feature of Gather is its integration with my Google Calendar. It keeps me informed about my meetings, allows me to schedule meetings in specific spaces directly within Gather via the Calendar, and sends the entire team there automatically.

Being able to create your office, customize your company's logo, and your own desk seems incredible to me. It was very fun to have Halloween-themed avatars for a while. I also like that when we started using it, there was no pressure to use the paid version because 10 desks were enough for the team. It is very easy to use, and also fun. The first time we spent a lot of time customizing our avatars, and it was not difficult to integrate other team members into its use.
