About Argo CD
Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. It follows the GitOps pattern of using Git repositories as the source of truth for defining the desired application state.
The tool automatically syncs applications to their desired state defined in Git, supporting Helm charts, Kustomize, Jsonnet, and plain YAML manifests. It provides a web UI and CLI for visualization and management.
Key features include automated or manual sync policies, health assessment, rollback, SSO integration, RBAC, webhook triggers, and multi-cluster support through Application Sets.
As a CNCF graduated project, Argo CD has become the de facto standard for GitOps-based Kubernetes deployments, often used alongside Argo Workflows, Argo Events, and Argo Rollouts.
