Vendor Onboarding
The structured process of moving a new software vendor from contract signature to active deployment.
Vendor onboarding typically includes IT provisioning (SSO, SCIM, IP allowlisting), security review (SOC 2 evidence, DPA signature, pen test reports), procurement compliance (PO numbers, vendor master data), and end-user enablement (documentation, training, rollout plan). A vendor onboarding that takes longer than six weeks signals either an unusually complex deployment or a process that has accumulated more checkpoints than it needs.
