Request for Proposal (RFP)
A formal procurement document inviting vendors to bid on a defined scope of work, with structured evaluation criteria.
RFPs are most common at enterprises and in regulated industries. They specify the buyer''s requirements, the evaluation criteria, the response format, and the timeline. Well-run RFPs produce comparable bids; poorly run RFPs generate lots of vendor work and a decision that was never going to change. Cubbie''s RFP module ships with three templates (CRM, observability, security) and a structured scoring rubric.
